Small air pumps can only support a single, small air stone, and their performance is affected by the length and condition of the piping between the two. Therefore, it's crucial to pair the right-sized air stone with the appropriate air pump. Smaller air pumps are designed for smaller air stones, so if you want more bubbles, consider upgrading to a larger air pump.

Additionally, ensure the air pump is positioned above the water level and install a Non-Return Valve to prevent water from flowing back into the air pump. The air pump connects to an air pipe, which then attaches to the air stone, providing a steady flow of oxygen for your aquatic friends.
