The Cherry Barb (Puntius titteya) is a small, vibrant freshwater fish known for its bright cherry-red coloration and peaceful temperament. Native to the slow-moving rivers and streams of Sri Lanka, Cherry Barbs are an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
They prefer being kept in small groups of at least 4/5–6 or more, where males display their brightest colors when competing for attention. They are peaceful and active, making them a great addition to any community tank.
