The Pignose Puffer or Arrowhead Puffer Tetraodon suvattii is native to Southeast Asia in the Mekong River basin. Another common name is the Mekong Puffer.

The natural habitat these fish live in is very clean, moving, oxygenated water. The Pignose Puffer or Arrowhead Puffer is generally found in the muddy substrate, though it is also found in rocky substrates as well.

The Arrowhead Puffer is a carnivore and is an extremely stealthy hunter. Diet will include live fish, krill, blood worms, lancefish & Shrimp.

The Arrowhead Puffer (Pao suvattii) is a striking and powerful freshwater predator native to slow-moving rivers and floodplains of Southeast Asia, especially Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. Known for its distinct arrow-shaped head and ambush-style behavior, this puffer is highly territorial and best suited for a species-only tank.

Arrowhead Puffers are carnivorous and require a protein-rich diet including live or frozen foods such as shrimp, fish, earthworms, and snails. Their strong beak-like teeth continuously grow, so feeding shelled prey helps keep them trimmed.

Regular water changes and excellent filtration are key to their health, as they are sensitive to poor water quality. Not community-friendly due to their aggression.

(Please take note that the Arrowhead Puffers is 100% fresh water)
