Black Lancer Catfish

The Black Lancer Catfish (Mystus leucophasis) is a sleek and striking species native to rivers and streams in Myanmar (Burma). With its elongated black body and bold silver-white stripe running along its length, this catfish adds elegance and mystery to any freshwater setup.

Primarily nocturnal and somewhat shy, Black Lancers, prefers plenty of hiding places like caves and driftwood.

In terms of diet, they are carnivorous and thrive on a varied intake of sinking pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other high-protein foods. Suitable for intermediate aquarists, they do well in stable water conditions, excellent filtration and well-oxygenated tanks.
